Health-care chaplain responds

At the CANA (Convocation of Anglicans in North America) showing, a retired military chaplain currently working in hospitals responded very emotionally to the parts of the film that feature military chaplains in hospitals.   He made the point that his ministry today shared many similarities the work he did in the military.

Indeed, whether in the ICU, on the hospital ward or visiting with distraught families, hospital chaplains also have to find ways to provide comfort and spiritual support to people of all faiths and no faiths.  We purposefully did not identify the chaplains by faith group during the film, but we do so in the credits.  For those interested in finding out what denominations were represented in the hospital footage, we’ll save you the trouble of connecting the dots.  Featured in these segments are Southern Baptist, Roman Catholic, Church of Latter Day Saints, and Trinity Bible Church chaplains.
