Military families

from "Chaplains Under Fire"

The Huffington Post is running a series this week to highlight the contributions and plight of military families, a subject that has been on our minds these days as we finalize two shorts: “Missing Families” and “A Gold Star Family Confronts Loss.”  (These will be part of the extra-features DVD, Discussion Matters, due out soon.)

It is not a matter of simply paying tribute to military veterans, active duty service members and military families — it is a matter of acknowledging that they are bearing the brunt of wars that we are all engaged in. They are fighting, hurting, dying, recovering, suffering….   in our stead.
